This past quarter I read American Gods by Neil Gaiman. It is a wonderful novel that puts a new perspective on how you see ancient myths and modern trends. I personally loved it due to all the reference material most details were taken from. In actuality I love reading mythology, Norse especially. Gaiman did a delightful job incorporating these larger than life legends into someone we would walk past on the street. His writing style and foreshadowing without giving too much away is truly amazing. Even smaller deities were included in the mix with small parts that would just seem strange to most. And now to my delight American Gods will have a T.V. show of the same name. Featuring a cast of great actors including Peter Stromare as Czernobog and Orlando Jones as Mr.Nancy I am looking forward to American Gods. My only question/peeve about the book is...What the hell was the buffalo dude, I may not have understood the explanation given if there was one, it was just plain strange, but nonetheless I would still read it time and again.
Thank you Neil Gaiman, for your wonderful writing.
